Funeral dove
releases are a beautiful way of sending a special message of peace and
love. Doves for funerals or memorial services are symbolic of eternal peace
and can comfort those who have lost a loved one. Funeral dove releases also symbolize the spiritual flight
home. The flight of the beautiful white doves will lift your eyes to the
heavens and create a tranquil moment of silence . . . except for the gentle
sound of wings against the wind.
After the reading of a poem or verse such as Psalm 55, "Oh that I
had wings like a dove! for then I would fly away and be at rest", a flock of
white doves can be released to circle above and await the spirit dove which
will ascend to join the others for the final flight home. You
may choose from a selection of poems that are available from Heartwings Dove

Funeral dove releases
can be personalized to celebrate the life of the departed. Funeral doves may
be released by hand or from a wicker basket or cage and can number up to
fourteen. Please
